Amantle Brown to headline Francistown food fest

The RnB singer is popularly known for her sweet melodic singles titled Black Mampatile and Moratiwa.

Born Amantle Ntlole, the singer made her first appearance in the music scene when she participated in the My Star season nine competition.  Her first album is titled Sa Pelo with eight tracks including singles Mahitswana, Ke A Lema, Banana and Tribute.

The melodic songstress is expected to thrill multitudes of revellers with her sexy dance moves and electrifying voice.

FFF spokesperson, Collen Keteng confirmed that Amantle Brown and other artists will be mesmerising hordes of attendants during the festivities.

He said that the festival will be hosted by BW Genius Advertising and is sponsored by the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Sport and Culture Development, Webtickets Botswana, Online Radio Bukalanga and Afrozilla House Media.

Keteng said that the event comes as a fusion of taste in indigenous and exotic foods with traditional games, lifestyle, music and dance.

He further noted that the occasion would also be set for a cultural exchange.

He added that revellers will be treated to toothsome appetisers, which are commonly known  as   starters.  They will set the tone for the meals to come.

He added that some of the mouthwatering cuisine that will be served on the day will include thopi (bogobe ja lerotse in Setswana), chimoni (samp with ground nuts, beans, ditloo), plain samp, rice, pound goat and cow meat, serobe, delele, dobi (pounded biltong mixed with peanuts) morogo wa dinawa mixed with ground nuts, phane, tswana chicken, beef, and turkey stew, corn, dumplings, unique salads to name but a few.

He said that different beverage brands and desserts would be the cherry on the top.

Keteng said that patrons will also take part in the traditional native games such as morabaraba, koi, diketo and others.

He added that the festivity will bring the corporates, families and friends together for networking and amusement.

He said the FFF initiative is to promote small, medium and micro businesses.

He added that business stakeholders are invited to secure their stalls so that they can bring their services closer to the people and boost their business.

He said that they used aggressive marketing through social media and branding through merchandise and vehicles.

Keteng added that security will be tight during the occasion as they will hire a private security company, bouncers and ask for assistance from the Central Police Station.

Amantle Brown will share the stage with Baboloki Dambe popularly known as B-Blok Exclusive, Romeo Stunner birth name Thuso Emmanuel, Dark Arrows, Flocater, Rhymekilla and other local artists.

 

Renowned disc jockeys include DJ Goveiya, DJ Bunz, DJ Kops (Yarona Fm), DJ Deepee and other local DJs will thrill revellers with their magic on the decks.  Tickets are sold P100 per person.
