Choppies Meriting robbed at gunpoint

 

The unidentified robbers entered the store at around 1900hrs. 

Station commander for Francistown police, Lebalang Maniki said investigations into the matter are underway. 

“The thieves ordered the staff and everyone who was in the shop to lie down on the floor and not to make any movement and then proceeded to the tills to steal money,” explained Maniki. 

Maniki added that the thieves then ran away on foot towards the railway line. 

“Fortunately, no one was injured during the robbery. We plead with the public to help us with information that may lead to the arrest of the thieves.”
