In the 81st minute, Mamoja scored their second goal. From a Bakang Malabola corner, Victor Pueng rose highest and redirected his header into the near post. It could have been three in the dying minutes but Mathare’s shot hit the upright. Tigers struggled and made numerous mistakes but the flaccid Mamoja could not punish them.
Tigers coach, Lolo Mosojane was equally disappointed. “We could have done better but instead we did the opposite of everything we had planned,” he said. “I am disappointed after two great displays in our past two games. We were too low.” In other games Motlakase cut the lead at the top of the log to one point with a 3-1 win against TASC. Log leaders BR Highlanders were held to a 1-1 draw by Sua Flamingoes. Satmos woes continued in Selebi-Phikwe where they narrowly went down 3-2 to GNT while Chobe United beat Real Movers 2-1. In the only Sunday encounter, TAFIC won 2-1 against Morupule Wanderers to keep in touch at the top.
