Alleged 'hitman' denied bail

Nkhuha was allegedly hired by Ernest Legwale to kill his then wife, Dimpho Meswele in 2015 at Oodi village.

Nkhuha had pleaded with the court to grant him bail before being committed to the High Court so that he could make proper arrangements for his children. However, representing the prosecution, Pascal Mhandu told the court that the matter was ready to be committed to the High Court for trial.

“I am pleading with the court to set another mention date in which the duo, Nkhuha and the first accused, Ernest Legwale, appear before court for committal,” Mhandu said.

The alleged ‘hitman’ was remanded in custody and will appear again on February 8, 2019 for the case to be committed to the High Court for trial.

Back in September 2015 at Oodi village Legwale, 43, allegedly hired Nkhuha and another accused still on the run to kill his then wife, Meswele.  The contract killers botched the hit and mistakenly took the life of Meswele’s sister, Thato Meswele.
