The State alleges that Manuel Mathews Greenland indecently assaulted the three female JMS students aged 11, 12 and 13 at the school on September 27 last year.

The substantive prosecutor in the matter Neo Machola filed an order on Thursday before the court as she was having a case at the Court of Appeal in Gaborone on Monday.

Machola told the court that the case is postponed, as the investigations in the matter are still ongoing because they are still to engage a social worker since the case involves minors, and they need to be interviewed by a fully trained social worker.

The case was also postponed as the other minor is in Gaborone and they were to arrange how she was going to come to court. Subsequently, the warrant that was issued for Machola on Monday was not effective as she appeared in court on Thursday.

“The accused therefore should report fortnightly at Central police station, either Monday or Friday,” said Machola.

Wada Nfila, the defence attorney concurred with the prosecution that the conditions of the bail be varied. Magistrate Kaveri Kapeko also agreed with the variations made by the prosecutor. Kapeko adjourned the matter to March 4 for status hearing.
