The Preacher Boy, as he calls himself, said he is working on his second album titled, Testimony Chapter 2, which will be released in March next year. The young man revealed that he will also be launching a new record label called Pulpit Groovers Entertainment.

“I have been laying low because I decided to take a break and give attention to my job in order to put bread on the table. Before, I was under the World of Music Studios and when my contract ended, I decided to do things on my own.

This is because of the challenges I faced as an artist. I have realised that our industry is full of favouritism, which pulls a lot of us down more especially upcoming artists. That is why you would find a person releasing a one hit song and then they vanish into thin air,” he said.

He pointed out that he will not let those challenges pull him down as he is very determined to share his talent with Batswana at large. He said that is the reason why he decided to start his own record label. Furthermore, Testify said he is currently working on his album at Sound Card Studios where he will be collaborating with a promising upcoming artist O.B.

Testify has once again been nominated for the Caller Ring Back Tune (CRBT) award. Vib Mobile nominated the 20 best local songs.

“This company has previously paid about P18,000 cash price for my royalties, coming second after Vee and Lizibo. I would like my fans to vote for me to win. These awards are a good initiative. We need more companies to support local artists and give them recognition,” he said.

He further applauded Vib Mobile for its good gesture, adding that their nominations were transparent. Testify also gave credit to CosBots for giving royalties to artists.

However, he appealed to BOMU to benchmark from these companies saying that they could learn a lot from them and upgrade themselves.

He added Btv’s gospel show, Melodi ya Kgalaletso cannot be able to promote gospel music alone. He therefore called on different churches to partake in promoting local gospel artist to give them the recognition they need.
