Miss Phenomenal beauty pageant is a Christian-based pageant whose objectives are moral regeneration and patriotism. It showcases young Batswana women’s talent in modelling and teaches them self-reliance and confidence based on Christian values.

The young woman who had successfully won over a large number of fans due to her beauty, confidence and intelligence set herself apart from fellow competitors from the on set.

Tsae proved to have what it takes to win the crown as her confidence and presence could be felt across the conference room. When introducing herself to the judges and the audience, Tsae told them of how ambitious she was and that she was proud of her roots in a short poem. Her race off the ramp left an enormous gap between her and her follow contestants who tried their best to keep up with her pace.

When asked how Christianity influenced her everyday life as a young Motswana woman, she said it was her way of life as it guided her to be a better person.

“Christianity has taught me to love other people. It is a virtue and that virtue is God himself. No matter what I go through in life, I know that God will always see me through always,” she answered proudly.

After qualifying for the top three, like other finalists, Tsae was asked to give her opinion on teenage pregnancy.

Her answer was that she believed in waiting till she was married to avoid teenage pregnancy. However, Tsae pointed out teenagers have to be taught about consequences of engaging in sexual behaviour. She added that most of the teenagers do not do so willingly as some could fall pregnant due to various reasons such as rape and others.

Cindy Mogorosi, 21, from Ramokgwebana was crowned the first princess after she impressed the judges with her brilliant answers. In the top five, when she was asked what inner beauty meant to her, she said someone who loved and cared for others genuinely.

She explained that a person who had inner beauty did not look down upon others and must be a God fearing person. Giving her opinion on teenage pregnancy, Mogorosi said teenage pregnancy was a result of teenagers who do not listen to their parents’ advice.

She said in most cases such teenagers abuse their rights.

The second princess Monei Moseki, 21, from Kanye also did her best to win her title.

When asked what changes she would bring if made the president of this country for a day, she said she would utilise the funds given to the President to better the lives of the poor as she was passionate about improving the lives of the underprivileged members of our community.

The contestants gave the pageant their best even though there was one winner at the end of the day.

The jazz singer Kearoma Rantao and gospel motswako artist Testify kept the audience captivated with their magnificent performance. Shanti Lo who was the surprise artist gave a spectacular performance.
