The rapper posted on his Facebook wall asking his fans whether to fill up the National Stadium this year. Cassper said this right after successfully thrilling his fans at the YAMAs pre-party last weekend at the Stanbic Bank Piazza.

“Botswana got the remote control!!! One of the most loyal, most loving fan bases I’ve ever had from day 1 when I was traveling to Bots with the bus charging R2,000 till today. Nothing’s changed but the logistics. Keale rata!!!! Maybe we do the national stadium this year?” read the Facebook post.

The rapper had indicated his intention to fill up the Stadium back in 2016, but has now grabbed the chance to let everyone know that he wants to finally fulfil his promise.

Back in 2016, he rubbished reports that local rapper Kast of Tlatsa Lebala fame had turned down his offer to fill up the Stadium.

“I’m A Bit Lost. Who’s Kast? What Does He Do?” Cassper Nyovest posted on Twitter at the time. This resulted in more Batswana rallying behind Kast who finally achieved his dream of filling up Botswana’s 25k-capacity stadium a year later in 2017 after two failed attempts.

Fast-forward to now, SA’s Cassper Nyovest has filled up The Dome, Orlando stadium, FNB stadium and lately Moses Mabhida. The rapper has even garnered the nickname ‘abuti fill up’.   As for Botswana’s Mr fill up, Kast has postponed his event many times, walked 2,000km and failed to fill up a park in Oodi last year.

Kast has already stated that Tlatsa Lebala will be there again this year come rain or sunshine. Even though he has cried of lack of support, sabotage and financial challenges, it will be interesting to see how Kast’s plans will play out this year now that Cassper Nyovest has hinted to fill up the National stadium.

Whether he seizes the opportunity and partner with Cassper in the #FillUp concert, it remains to be seen.

It is the same man who inspired his Tlatsa Lebala idea after all, so maybe Kast should do away with the all local lineup and bring in Cassper Nyovest who is all about making money.
