Will Dambe foil Orapa again?

The first leg ended goalless with Tse Nala goalkeeper, Thabo Dambe thwarting a marauding Orapa United. He was named man-of-the-match after keeping out the dangerous quartet of Lemogang Maswena, Tendai Nyumasi, Patrick Lenyeletse and Ronald Chikomo.

Tse Nala would not want to entirely rely on Dambe’s heroics tonight as that might come back to haunt them.

 

Their home record against The Ostriches is not impressive. In their only two meetings in Serowe since they gained promotion, they lost both games 2-1 and 2-0 respectively.

The two teams enter the contest on the back of contrasting fortunes. Orapa fought hard for a 1-1 draw against Black Forest while Miscellaneous were on the receiving end of a 2-1 defeat at the hands of BTC Premiership leaders, Extension Gunners, with a reminder that although Dambe is brilliant, he can be beaten.

Miscellaneous coach, Russia Chaba said their approach will be the same as in the first leg, but this time they will be more compact and wait to catch their opponents on the counter.

“Our plan (in Orapa) nearly worked for us,” he said.

“We have worked on closing the gaps to deny Nyumasi space and to cut supply to Maswena and if we apply our plan accordingly against these two then we would dent their attack.

“Orapa have a lot of experience with seasoned players and we will have to be cautious in defence and we will catch them on counter attacks, we can still surprise them.”

Orapa United assistant coach, Zacharia Mudzazi believes they are in a good position to finish off Miscellaneous.

“It is still 0-0 and it works out well for us. If we score one then they will have to score two.

We are experienced in this competition and we will take advantage of that. We can’t be worried that we didn’t score in our last game. We would be worried if we were not creating (the opportunity to score). We are patient and the goals will come,” he said.
