Rollers, Police renew rivalry

The other encounter played between the two sides this season was a league match, which ended 1-1. Rollers, as the hosts will be in danger if they concede more than one goal. They have not been tight at the back having conceded five goals so far in the league. They have also been too reliant on striker, Terrence Mandaza for goals unlike last season when attacking midfielders, Segolame Boy and Joel Mogorosi were also on top scoring form.
Coach, Mark Harrison this week admitted his charges are yet to hit top gear. Police XI on the other hand also have been struggling with form since the start of the season. They tasted their first victory last weekend when they beat Jwaneng Galaxy 1-0. Tapiwa Gadibolae and Betsho Pius will be expected to be on top of their game if they are to force a come back in the match.
What the coaches said:
Harrison: “Although the game is still days away, I would say we are ready. We have about two injury worries otherwise everything is going pretty well. The 1-0 score is really nothing going into this game. In fact, we will treat this game as if we had played to a 0-0 draw in the first leg and push for a win.” Maitumelo Lotlaamoreng: “We believe we can also score one or two goals in the second leg. If Rollers manage to score one then we can also score, especially that their victory came in the last five minutes of the game.
We have been playing well but our problem has been converting the chances. I believe the victory against Galaxy will serve as a boost for us ahead of this Rollers match. I have a fully fledged squad and (am) ready to go in.”
