In a complaint letter addressed to the presidential hopeful and copied to Masisi and the party, Tshotlego said the Serowe South MP lied about being promised to be a Vice President when the current Head of State took over.

“As much as I know very well that you as a member of the BDP has ambitions to pursue your political career like any other,” the party member said, “I find it wrong and unethical for you to have deliberately uttered untruths about our party President Mokgweetsi Masisi”.

He added: “As one of the party elders you should have known better that your ambitions should not work against stability and principles of our party”.

Tsotlego said Moitoi has told Mmegi newspaper in an interview that Masisi promised her Vice Presidency whereas it is not true as per her word during the BDP retreat is demeaning, harmful and tarnishing the name of the BDP and the President.

“I therefore request you to step forward and make a public apology to President Masisi, the BDP membership and nation at large,” he said.
