Ntuane and Tshekedi are known to be rivalling Masisi, with Tshekedi recently making his presidential ambitions public on Duma FM, while the secretary general did not endorse Masisi for the chairmanship during the run-up to the Mmadinare Congress last year.

Interestingly, another presidential hopeful, Selebi-Phikwe MP Nonofo Molefhi, whom Masisi recently praised via a weekend publication, was present at the victory celebrations along with his constituency delegation. Boteti MP and local government minister Slumber Tsogwane announced all the Ministers and MPs present for the occasion, among them Bobonong MP, who is also justice, defence and security Minister, Shaw Kgathi.

As expected Tati West MP, Guma Moyo and his delegation were also at the celebrations. Kgalagadi North MP Itumeleng Moipisi, Kgalagadi South MP, Frans Van Der Westhuizen, Basic Education minister Unity Dow, Serowe North MP, Kgotla Autlwetse, Mmadinare MP Kefentse Mzwinila, Ngami MP, Thato Kwerepe, Tonota MP Thapelo Olopeng, Shoshong MP, Philip Makgalemele, Mahalapaye West MP Joseph Molefe, Maun East MP Kostantinos Markus, Takatokwane MP, Ngaka Ngaka, specially elected member Mephato Reatile, Mahalapye East MP Botlogile Tshireletso, Nkange MP Edwin Batshu,  Finance Minister Kenneth Matambo, amd Mmathethe MP Alfred Madigele were paraded at the event. BDP sources said while generally the list does not mean that all missing MP’s are not aligned to VP Masisi’s presidential ambitions, all his rivals in Parliament, Cabinet or the Central Committee did not attend.
