Seabelo Bus Driver In Court

Then, two Seabelo Express buses were involved in an accident that claimed the lives near Dibete.  One bus was Francistown-bound and another was travelling to Zimbabwe.

The Francistown bound bus rammed into the back of the other a few kilometres south of the tropic of Capricorn killing five people.

Asked about the progress of the case, Dibete station commander, Superintendent Meshack Ranku said the driver of the Francistown-bound bus has been charged with an offence of causing death by careless driving. 

He stated that on Friday the driver appeared and was arraigned before Mahalapye Magistrate’s Court and he is currently in custody. He will appear again on March 1t for mention.

It was reported that all of the deceased and injured passengers were in the Francistown bound bus and no injuries were reported from the one heading to Zimbabwe.
