Ramocha Tsieng, Kitso Mosweng, Daniel Mampane and Maribe Moje on behalf of Mochudi Centre Chiefs (MCC) as a Society have dragged Mochudi Centre Chiefs Trust led by Raymond Tsheko, Ernest Molome, Clifford Mogomotsi and Lebogang Seboni to court claiming to be the rightful committee to run the club. In a brief appearance, attorney Kabayi of Kaang attorneys briefed the court that the application before court was to determine the rightful owners of MCC.

“The league has already kick started and we would kindly ask the court to set a (closer) date for this matter to be argued,” he said.

The two camps are at odds after the society felt the other camp had unprocedurally formed the trust.

The applicants claim the current committee running the club through the trust is illegitimate after the expiry of its 12 month tenure as stipulated in the club’s constitution.

This year, the two camps held separate annual general meetings. The applicants argue that the club did not hold an AGM between 2013 and 2014, but it was only held in 2015 where Mogomotsi’s camp was reportedly elected out of office. The respondents, it is argued, then formed a trust, which is in violation of the club constitution.

Tau ordered that the matter will be heard on December 12 and ordered parties to file their heads of argument four days prior to the court sitting.

Chiefs internal boardroom struggles are evident on the pitch as the team is winless in four league starts this season with only three points from as many draws. e:EN-US;mso-fareast-language:EN-US; mso-bidi-language:AR-SA'>Nico have won one and lost two of their opening four fixtures, recording a draw in the process. hlanders
