This is part of the ongoing effort to brand and position Botswana internationally as an ideal business and tourist destination.

The forum, to be officially opened by Ambassador of Botswana Samuel Outlule, will be attended amongst others by SANEC members, business partners, entrepreneurs and the Dutch business community in the Water management,  ICT and IT management, transport and logistics, agricultural/agro-business and renewable energy sectors.

BITC will highlight the available business and investment opportunities in developing sectors in Botswana, such as transport, infrastructure and logistics, ICT, mining, agriculture, energy and health care. BITC will also elaborate on the several incentives available for investors in various sectors in Botswana.

Dutch businessman, Martijn de Liefde will offer insight into his success story of doing business in Botswana, highlighting the successes, challenges and opportunities that are present in the Botswana business sector. De Liefde will also speak about his company ‘Kgotla’, and present an interesting case study that will benefit other Dutch businesspeople who might consider doing business in Botswana.

Speaking ahead of the seminar, Brand Botswana (A) executive director, Bame Moremong, said this is yet another initiative aimed at positioning Botswana as a place to live, work and invest. “We are looking to exploit the Dutch market and this seminar will give us an opportunity to tell the Botswana story as well as sell available opportunities in Botswana.”  This is the first ever Botswana trade and investment forum in the Netherlands.

The Botswana delegation, led by Outlule will on October 27,  2016 attend the Nation Brand and Investment International/World Trade Centre organised by the International Business Forum in Metropool Hengelo, the Netherlands. The delegation will partake in one-on-one business matchmaking sessions with European business partners and investors. The business match-making sessions will allow for deeper engagement on the issues around ‘Doing business in Botswana’.
