Tswapong police recently arrested three men in connection with possession of a carcass of a cow and four cattle suspected to have been stolen in different cases of stock theft.

Kgomokhumo operatives arrested two men aged 23 and 35 years from Mogote ward in Shakwe after they were found in possession of a carcass of a cow, which they failed to account for. 

Police are still looking for the third suspect, an 18-year-old man also from the same village. The carcass was found at the suspects’ place of abode in Shakwe lands on Saturday. 

BPS public relations officer, assistant commissioner Dipheko Motube said in another case they arrested a 31-year-old man of Mononyane ward in Sefhare after he was found in possession of four cattle suspected to be stolen. 

“The suspect was arrested on Sunday at Thokolo cattle post in the outskirts of Machaneng village. We are also investigating another case in which three beasts were found killed in the bush in Topeng cattle post near Tobane village, their ears were cut off and their brand marks skinned out,” Motube said.
