The crew made up of Emtee, Fifi Cooper, Saudi, Sjava, A-Reece, Miss Pru, Dj Citi Lyts and B3nchmarq headlined the show organised by Uvalelo Holdings.

It was the first time Ambitiouz Entertainment performed outside SA as a collective. Hip-hop group, B3nchmarq is the one that kicked off the performance with their hit song Washa.

The group, which is made up of two lyricists, Tkay and P.Jay, were full of life on stage and their performance paved the way for the 19-year-old A-Reece to finally tell his story to Botswana audience.

The audience showed that they are familiar with his lyrics when he performed Couldn’t, a song that features Emtee. Even though Emtee did not come on stage to perform the collaboration, A-Reece managed to exert more energy into the song to prove that he is a good performer as much as he is a powerful lyricist and songwriter.

Then arrived the moment most fans were waiting for when South Africa’s first Lady of Motswako, Fifi Cooper graced the stage. The Setswana speaking lyricist from Mafikeng needed no introduction when she performed her hit song Putsununu. Fans could not handle the sight of the pint-sized musician on stage and she was a popular figure with the crowd.

She also performed her song Kisses before Emtee joined her on stage to perform Koze Kuse. The two always form a formidable collabo and their performance was one of the best moments of the night. Even though people expected the two to perform the song Ngeke, the performance gave way for Emtee to turn Stanbic Piazza upside down. Mthembeni Ndevu, better known by his stage name Emtee was the biggest part of the Ambitiouz Entertainment’s crew. He did not waste any time as he got right into it by performing his popular song Roll Up. The song that has won numerous awards in South Africa got everyone on their feet as they sang along.

The rapper, who is also known as Emtee Da Hustla to his fans, showed everyone why he is the hottest newcomer in South Africa when he performed the song Pearl Thusi. The way Emtee has transformed trap music deserves credit and his performance at Major Lit Sessions was classic.

While most eyes were on Emtee and Fifi Cooper, Ambitiouz Entertainment was even stronger as a group and record label. Then the epic moment came when the whole crew invaded the stage to perform Miss Pru’s hit single Ameni, which features all Ambitiouz Entertainment artists. It was a wonderful sight to see South Africa’s hip hop success story on stage all in one.

The Ambitiouz Entertainment artists were introduced into the stage by Somizi of SA Idols fame. Somizi was the MC of the night alongside Botswana’s very own T.H.A.B.O. Somgaga as he is also known, was not as energetic as always but the fans were excited to see him on stage.

Locally the lineup was hot especially the DJs on the night like NT Base, Ozzy The Great, DJ Guyvos, just to mention but a few. Faded Gang also did not disappoint when they hit the stage. The hip hop group seems to have a special bond with Stanbic Piazza, a place where they made a name for themselves earlier this year. The audience also knew their lyrics as they performed songs like Why so faded anthem, among others.

The rain was pouring heavily but it did not deter revellers from the main job at hand. The Piazza structure also catered for the fans to enjoy the night of entertainment despite the heavy showers.
