BPL refers Miscellaneous case to prosecutor

The Serowe-based team claim they were informed late of the fixture, and therefore had failed to travel south to play the log leaders at the UB Stadium.
But the BPL insisted that the fixture was on and that failure to fulfil, will be dealt with.
BPL chief executive officer, Thabo Ntshinogang said the matter will be referred to their prosecutor for determination.
“The matter will be taken to the prosecutor for him to study everything surrounding the aborted match and make a decision on whether he will charge any entity or not,” Ntshinogang revealed yesterday.
Miscellaneous spokesperson, Edwin Ntau said according to a letter the club received from the BPL, they were likely to face disciplinary action.
“I cannot say we don’t have a case to answer. All we have to do, is to defend ourselves,” Ntau said.
The BPL said the fixture changes were necessitated by an unexpected (Africa Nations Championships) CHAN schedule, which saw some league games brought forward.
