She is set to headline a stand up comedy gig with another female comedian Mandy Ginindza from Swaziland in a show called Hilarious Queens, which is a breast cancer awareness campaign. This will be Enigma’s third performance in Swaziland this year.

“This invitation reflects on how Swaziland recognises and appreciate my craft. I am truly humbled to have had that effect on them. It’s a good step in the right direction for my career and I would love to perform in other countries across Africa,” Enigma said.

She noted that she has secured a strong foundation with the Swati audience as they easily relate to her content, which has earned her more invitations to perform in the country. “I genuinely enjoy my performances and the passion is evident in the crowd’s response,” she said.

Enigma stated that she manages to relate with the Swaziland audience through research, keeping up with their current affairs and her previous experiences.

Her counterpart Ginindza is one of the few female comics in Swaziland. With the two put to headline the show, it is a bid to influence more women to venture into stand up comedy.

“I would love to believe that my presence in Swaziland has a positive effect in motivating other women to come upfront and tackle comedy. I have been in constant communication with Mandy since the first time we met, I believe that me coming to do a show with her will definitely push her in the right direction to even do her own shows,” she said.

She noted that her upcoming performance is part of her new initiative dubbed #BoSwa, which has an objective of uniting the Botswana and Swaziland arts sector.

Locally Enigma has been very silent, as she has only performed in one show, which was Class of the Heavy Weights in May. “I have only done corporate shows that are private.

The other reason is that this year I have been working on creating international relations,” she said.
