Murder accused remanded in fear of his life

Tsie told the court that murder is a serious offence and the matter is still fresh. He cautioned that the accused life would be in danger if he was released when the deceased relatives are still mourning.

Chief Magistrate Rebecca Motsamai heard that Seepi murdered Maria Molefe an employee of Botswana International University of Science & Technology (BIUST) at Lotsane Ward.

“This matter is still at an infant stage since it is alleged that the deceased was murdered on Monday morning, therefore we pray for the accused to be further remanded in custody to protect him from the deceased relatives who are still irate,” he said

Seepi’s next appearance will be on November 2.
