Sedumedi JSS donates

According to his elated mother the boy reacted badly to the vaccine and from there it was a series of visits to various hospitals where his leg was finally amputated.

The man soldiered on until he completed his form five at Moshupa Senior School last year. Through a series of fundraising activities such as sponsored walk, donors from individuals, companies, staff and students, the school embarked on a journey to buy him a prosthetic leg. With the cost of the leg being exorbitant the school was faced with an uphill battle.

However a good samaritan, an Orthopaedist, Sitale Sitale of Bamalete Lutheran Hospital came on board and requested the school to buy the necessary material for the leg. Sitale then designed a leg and fitted Moitlakgola with his leg.

Walking on both legs, the young man confidently strode to the podium to much applause, fanfare and tears of joy from well wishers and former school mates. The Commissioner of Police, Keabetswe Makgophe who was the guest speaker wished the young man well in his future endeavours and also donated a cheque of P10, 000 to the school.
