Drama Boi to stage one man show

The album launch is scheduled for October 28 at Botswana Craft. Drama Boi Unplugged will be a showcase of the rapper’s new album where he will be jamming with a live band.
“I am very excited about the event because this is the first time I will be doing a one man show showcasing my art, the very best of me. I will be performing all the tracks on Township Music 2,” the Mosutele rapper said.
The rapper believes that this event will reveal an all grown up Drama Boi. He said that he has always been performing using backtracks but this time around he is elevating to another level as he will be performing with a live band.
Despite the Drama Boi Unplugged event being a one man show it will have artists such as MMP Family, Rizz, Katlego and songstress Gaone Ranthoiwa who featured on some of the tracks on Township Music 2 to back the rapper on the respective songs they featured on.
The rapper and his band members have been rehearsing for the Drama Boi Unplugged gig since last month. The event has already picked up hype on various social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter.
Drama Boi’s head of management Itumeleng Garebatshabe hinted the whole live performance would be streamed live online.
“We are planning to live stream the event on the Drama Boi App. Subscriptions will be done via the App to give those who are outside the country a front row seat experience to the event too. If you recall we also streamed his album from his app when it came out and the response was overwhelming,” Garebatshabe said.
Through the Drama Boi Unplugged gig Garebatshabe noted that they want to elevate Drama Boi to a premium level because his music cuts across all age groups.
Township Music has been performing well as it was sold out on its first month of release. It is one of the few hip-hop albums from Botswana to take the number one spot on iTunes for 12 consecutive days.
Tickets for the Drama Boi Unplugged gig are already up for sale in various places such as Cotton Mouth, Street Horn Jazz Music and also from the Drama Boi App.
