Tumagole Wins Miss Plus-Size Universe Botswana

Miss Plus-Size Universe Botswana pageant aims to celebrate the full-figured and intelligent woman. The pageant director, Gorata Kekgethegile told Showtime that the pageant gives plus-size women from different corners of the country a platform to shine and show that they are beautiful confident women. She further explained that the pageant also seeks to boost self-esteem amongst plus-size women and teach the public that beauty can also be defined by body size.
Tumagole out shined other contestants and she seemed to be the crowd’s favourite.
Her confidence and outstanding performances won her the crown. She will compete with plus-size beauties from other countries in Trinidad and Tobago during the Miss Plus-Size Universe finale, which is scheduled for November 13, 2016. The queen also scooped the Miss Photogenic prize, which automatically secured her a spot in the top five.
During the talent show stage, Tumagole danced, as the audience cheered her on. During the bikini parade, she did not think twice about showing off her fabulous curves.
When asked what changes she would make in plus-size pageants, Tumagole said she would make sure that the pageantry industry changes its perspective on who should be allowed to compete in beauty pageants. She explained that she would make sure that plus-size women are embraced and continue to embrace their bodies. She said it was high time beauty pageants appreciated everybody the way they are, rather than discriminate against big women, and make them feel ugly, which sometimes leads to them having low self-esteem.
Gabby Mochudi, 20, was crowned the first princess. The beautiful woman also won a large fan base. Her confidence and beauty lit up the space. For the talent show, she sang Britney Spears’ Sometimes. She looked amazing in her mermaid tailored dress, and it looked perfect on her body. Mochudi was asked how she could define herself as an African woman.
Her answer was that she was proud to be an African woman who possessed a true African figure. She said she was proud of her curves and could not have wanted to look otherwise. Mochudi further said an African woman is the pillar of her family. She added that African women are respectful and take care of their husbands and children. She further explained that as a mother, she believes that an African woman deserves to be celebrated as she carries the world on her shoulders.
Natasha Olopeng was crowned the second princes. This came after the 22-year-old told judges that she was motivated to join the pageantry because it gave her an opportunity to showcase her body and show other plus-sized women that they are beautiful just the way they are.
The other two who made it to the top five are; Kagiso Thebe (25-years-old) and Loago Moarabi (20-years-old). Stanley Stan, Platinium Melody and Miss Lisah kept the audience entertained with their beautiful performances.
