The BFA has indicated it is looking for someone who has a CAF or UEFA Pro Licence with experience in Africa and Europe.

No local coach has such a qualification or experience.

The profile appears to fit former Zebras coach, Jelusic Veselin who has emerged as the favourite to return.

Peter Butler is also in the frame, but it is reported that some in the BFA National Executive Committee (NEC) are against his re-engagement.

The Zebras were left without a coach after the dismissal of David Bright last month. Mogomotsi 'Teenage' Mpote was appointed on a caretaker basis and lost his first game in charge 1-0 to Angola.

The Zebras finished the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers winless, with just one point from six matches.
