Spinners Wrap Up Spin City In Style

Legendary spinner, Edddie Rasta, continued where he left off in Mmopane by stealing all the shine away from Gusheshe spinners.
After being announced late in the line up, Eddie Rasta showed newcomers that he is a favourite in the local crowd.
The legendary spinner who is well known for riding his Ford Stout King like a horse would leap out of his car and the car would follow him as he walked in a circle. Inside the spinning area, Eddie Rasta makes sure that he entertains the fans with his stunts.
However Eddie was not the only notable moment at the event but the legendary Turbo Charge who starting spinning in 2011 at a car wash was on top of his game. Drifting effortlessly in some sort of aggressive way, Turbo showed the youngsters how it is done. Driving his Toyota car, Turbo would drift out of spinning area only to return with power and passion. He even provoked one of the best spinners locally called The General. However The General was not able to match Turbo's powerful slides. He did not have his magic car and the Gusheshe he was spinning with could not quench his spinning thirst.
Altezza, also known as Satane o mala mantsho, also made a mark on the day. The driver of the Altezza Omphile even gave Eddie Rasta a chance to spin the car. One of the highlights of the day was a man from Old Naledi who could spin an automatic car. He showed everyone that nothing is impossible when it comes to spinning.
Perhaps the most epic moment of the day arrived when more than five spinners took over the spinning area at once. Drifting simultaneously and unrehearsed, the spinners evoked fun in what was a dangerous mode of entertain and sport. There was no communication and the spinners based everything on their instincts and observation. It was a perfect way to seal what had been an eventful year of legal spinning.
The event also marked the conclusion of the last round of the spinning championship. After accumulating most points in the entire five events, Team Sheriff walked away with the trophy. King Joe of Graveyard took the second prize followed by Vishu from Tlokweng.
Despite the event being a success, the organisers of the show failed to announce that Team Austin from Mafikeng will not come as previously advertised. People kept waiting in anticipation for the 17-year-old spinner and his 13-year-old younger brother to show up on the arena. Some fans even took their frustrations to Facebook citing the event as a rip off. The next event will be the Gala Dinner Awards next month.
