Prison warder gets bail after bitting constable

 

Ntome is alleged to have on June 2, 2016 in Pitikwe ward at  a residential homestead, assaulted one special constable officer whilst the victim was executing his duties.  In the process, Ntome is alleged to have bitten the victim on the right arm. The two officers were on mission to arrest him. On count two, the accused person is alleged to have on the same day, at the same house, resisted to be arrested by a company of two police officers for the offence of allegedly driving a motor vehicle without front number plate.  On third count allegedly committed on Tuesday, the accused person allegedly, stabbed one Oganeditswe Tlhako, a prison warder with an unidentified sharp object on left index finger before proceeding to stab him above the upper lip thereby causing a laceration in the victim’s body.

The prosecutor  in the case, sub inspector Bakani Tsayang of Woodhall police station said investigations were complete hence the state did not oppose admitting the accused on bail.
