Speaking at his first anniversary in the presidency held at the Cresta Marang Hotel on Monday evening the President thanked everyone for taking good care of his late brother who was a businessman-cum-politician.

He indicated that his brother came to Francistown at a tender age and amongst others found friends like businessman Moss Sesupeng and others who made his stay in Francistown very comfortable.

“He came to Francistown at a tender age and you all took good care of him. All of you, I thank you for your different roles,” he said addressing the electorate, businesspeople and others who had thronged the appreciation dinner.

The President whose family hails from Moshupa village indicated that they had resigned themselves to accepting that his late brother had chosen to come and settle in Francistown.

“Even at his death, my brother was still serving the people of Francistown,” he said deliberately directing his words to the Francistown West MP, Ignatius Moswaane to take care of the constituency, “in honour of my fallen brother knowing that the area is very sensitive”.

He added: “Moswaane should never forget where the Francistown West constituency came from”.
