Incestuous father denied bail

The father (who cannot be named for ethical reasons) raped both his biological daughters on September 30, 2014 in Goshwe. 

Court documents show that the father repeatedly raped his daughters following an alcohol-drinking spree. 

He raped them while their mother was away in Zimbabwe. 

He appeared before Justice Tshegofatso Mogomotsi. 

Meanwhile, a nurse at Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital, Okopeng Morongwa, 35, appeared before Chief Magistrate Faith Dlamini-N’Gandu to face a single charge of rape. 

The state alleges that Morongwa committed the offence on February 27, 2016 in Donga.

Morongwa pleaded not guilty to the charge and told the court that he will conduct his own defence. 

Dlamini-N’Gandu adjourned the final case management conference to May 2, 2019 to enable the prosecution to deal with an interlocutory application made by the accused. 

Kgomotso Tshekiso from the Directorate of Public Prosecutions appeared for the state.
