Kgosi is reportedly charged with exposing identities of Directorate of Intelligence and Security (DIS) services employees and assaulting them verbally.

The former spy chief will be charged under Section 19 of the Intelligence Security Services, which prohibits the disclosure of the identity of DIS workers.

Kgosi’s charge emanates from the allegations he made that he was ‘aware there was a resolution to assassinate him’.

This publication had recently reported that the claims came from a disclosed five-page letter to the DIS, Botswana Police Service (BPS), Botswana Unified Revenue Service (BURS), Directorate on Corruption and Economic Crime (DCEC), Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) and the Attorney General on February 20, 2019 marked ‘highly confidential’.

Kgosi had claimed and exposed names of the employees who harassed him being officers Sergeant G Nxaikhwe of BPS and Bashi Moreba of the DIS.

He had claimed that on February 18, 2019 he went for physiotherapy and the two officers followed him into the clinic where they aggressively demanded from the receptionist that they be taken to him.
