Judge objects accused 'hitman's' urgent bail application

Nkhuha was allegedly hired by a man to kill his then wife in 2015 at Oodi village.

The alleged Zimbabwean ‘hitman’ had recently submitted an urgent bail application to the High Court after his murder case together with his co-accused, Ernest Legwale, was committed to the High Court.

Segopolo stated that Nkhuha’s bail would be decided by the judge who will be appointed to preside over the matter in accordance with Order 68 of the High Court rules.

Back in September 2015 at Oodi village, Legwale allegedly hired Nkhuha and another one still on the run to kill his then wife, Dimpho Meswele.  They instead mistakenly killed her sister Thato Meswele.

Nkhuha’s co-accused, Legwale was recently granted bail by Justice Reuben Lekorwe, but cautioned to maintain a distance of 1,000 metres from his ex-wife Meswele, more especially from her workplace at a local senior secondary school in Gaborone and her home village residence in Oodi.
