Tshepo G�s debut album thrills revelers

 

The songbird was groomed and mentored by the multi-talented Frank Lesokwane also known as Franco in the music circles in order to release her first album.

Magatwe was  mixed and mastered by Kunda Bwanga and composed by  Franco.

Tshepo G gave a sizzling performance during the carnival and left the crowd yelling for more.

The musician got the crowd eating out of her palm with her cover the track called Magatwe.

On her other performances, Tshepo G had thrown the audience into frenzy with her racks Sedimonthole  and Ha e duma.

The artist, who hails from Sefhare, mesmerised the crowd with her level of energy and unique dance moves.

Other songs in the album include Lorato, Game ke game and Boela  gae.

In an interview with Showbiz, Tshepo G said the album is mostly  focused on love.

She noted that the album is sung in vernacular language so that she can reach and attract more fans.

Tshepo G revealed that the album is currently penetrating the music industry.

“I am receiving bookings to perform at different occasions including weddings, corporate functions, music festivals and others.

My album is also making notable inroads in the local radio stations,” she said.

The lead singer said, unlike other youth she chose to sing Afro pop because of her deep vocal sounds and its uniqueness. The vibrant singer said she is using her talent to generate income  and  sustain her life.

She said that it was her first performance in the northern part of the country and she managed to melt the hearts of Bakalanga.

“I am going to come back very soon for my second performance so that I can market my music,” she said.Like any other business, the music industry comes with challenges, for instance, the slow industry in Botswana. While technology is a welcome development, it presents challenges for them as musicians.

She explained that people have a tendency not to buy their music but prefer to purchase it using different Internet applications such as iTunes.

She said some of their fans share their music using different platforms of social media including Facebook, Instagram, among others.

The new artist said even when the going gets tough, she chooses to stay focused and pursue her dream.

She urged other upcoming musicians to believe in their talent and stay dedicated to their work by being driven by the love and passion.

Tshepo G shared the stage with renowned artists such as Thapelo Maleka popularly known as Mc Maswe, Franco and Afro Musica, Dinkgwenkgoga traditional group, DJ Gouveia, DR Tawanda and other local artists.
