At the unveiling, Kgosi Motlhatswi Pule of Block 8 expressed gratitude to Time Projects of the unfailing love for the disabled people in the community and the public at large.

He said the gym communicates that indeed health is a cornerstone of what everyone should be doing to invest in.

“Workers should come and spend some time in the gym after work hours to exercise and that should not be a once off routine, but it should be their daily schedule.  This helps the body to get used to excise regularly and for one to stay fit as it is recommended by health practitioners,” Pule added.

The attendants were able to walk around the place and were shown how the gym equipment functions.

They were also given the chance to enjoy the experience and familiarise themselves with how the gym operates.

The gym is structured properly for someone to easily exercise.

For her part, Gaborone Disabled Society chairperson Kopano Bogosi stated that they would utilise the gym well. He said their voice was being heard in the public therefore it brings a smile upon their faces.

Sir Seretse Khama Airport police Crime prevention Coordinator, Inspector Armstrong Duna stated that the public should be aware of criminals around the gym area especially at night.

“They should take care of their valuables while in the gym because we have recorded different cases like robbery and rape from January until March,” he said. Duna added that they were working with the police in the Block 8 area to fully ensure that the public was safe.

Time Projects managing director, Brett Marlin said the purpose of the gym launch was to make locals aware of the new outdoor gym that was built not so long ago.   It was also aimed at extending invitation to the public to utilise the facility.

“The launch also served as a platform for Time Projects to interact with potential gym users while sharing the background and vision of the gym.

It was also an opportunity to have demonstration sessions of how to use the equipment,” he said.
