Kerry More in a great come back

In her third come back, the young artist’s album shows a lot of maturity in terms of voice production and creativity than her previous albums. Her new album is laid back and slow paced than the previous ones giving it a touch of jazz flavour.

Ke Eng Le Nkhina is classified under new music genre titled Africarto or African Art. It is influenced by Setswana traditional sounds and other African rhymes fused with elements of pop, jazz and mpaqanga. Kerry More is signed under Afro-Heavens Creators. With the assistance of Touch Records, Kerry More recorded her album that has hit local airwaves with a storm.

The album has six tracks namely Ke eng le Nkhina, Goroga, Moagisani Ko Mosetlheng, Thabanelong/Terese ya Baloi, MmaMalebogo and Basimane ba malatsi a. The 26-year-old was born and raised in Seleka village in Tswapong.

Ke Eng Le Nkhina talks of witchcraft where the young lady is asking her aunt why they are tying her up or had bewitched her so that she could not be able to take care of her parents despite the fact that she has a job. Goroga is a love song where Kerry More is urging her lover to come as she has long been waiting for him. She continues telling the young man that despite people being against their relationship, she will continue loving him.

Moagisani Ko Mosetlheng is a song about a neighbour who likes gossiping and spreading lies about a person in order to tarnish his or her reputation. On the other hand, Thabanelong/Terese Ya baloi is about the evil deeds done by the so-called witches. Kerry More’s MmaMalebogo is a song about a woman who likes partying, drinking alcohol and dating young men.

Basimane Ba Malatsi a is a song about pretentious young men who always lie to young women that they are rich or working whilst they know that their lives are not as glamourous as they claim. All the six tracks are well composed and their massages are well articulated.

Kerry More started singing in the school traditional group at primary school until Lotsane Senior Secondary School in 2009. She started her recording career in 2010 at Mega Bass Studio where she worked in her first album titled Tobetsa. She released her second album titled O ne o le kae in 2013 and was produced by Dr Tawanda.
