Moeng student found hanging from a tree

“Last Thursday evening we received a call about a man found hanging from a tree near a football pitch.  The father explained that the boy went away in his absence and did not leave any note.  Upon our arrival there we found the body of the deceased in a decomposed state hence medical doctors recommended that the body be buried the same night,” Ramaja said.

Meanwhile, in a separate matter, a 27-year-old-man was found dead along the  Palapye railway line, on independence eve.

According to the police boss, it seems the operator only saw the deceased when the train was already too close to make an abrupt stop.

“We suspect that the train operator saw the man whilst he was already closer to him. From the state that the deceased’s body was found in, it shows that the train went all over him,” Ramaja said.

He said they are investigating the cause  of the man's death or what drove him to commit suicide, as he did not leave any note behind.  Furthermore, he said they are still looking for the deceased’s parents or relatives, as they do not know his place of origin.

Though Ramaja said this is the first incident of its kind to be recorded in his station this year, he expressed concern over increasing cases of suicide in his area saying people must learn to seek help whenever they experience problems.
