Tse Nala kept in the dark over Rollers case

Miscellaneous failed to show up at the game citing their inability to travel after the fixture was changed at the 11th hour.
That week they were initially scheduled to play against Notwane in Serowe before they were informed that they had to make a journey down south for a third game in a row. Despite trying to make their point across regarding the change of fixtures, they were ordered to travel to Gaborone for the encounter.
In the end, Rollers were the only side that pitched up at the UB Stadium before match officials called off the game.
The Botswana Premier League (BPL) chief executive officer (CEO), Thabo Ntshinogang at the time stated that the prosecutor would look into the matter with Miscellaneous likely to be charged for their behaviour. The issue sparked uproar with Gaborone United (GU) and Notwane both writing to the BPL also questioning the decision to change their fixtures at the last minute. GU were originally scheduled to play Rollers that Wednesday.
The Botswana Football Association (BFA) eventually chipped in and promised to investigate the matter. The BFA was forced to revive the League Committee, which is now in control of the fixtures.
It has been four weeks since the Tse Nala/ Rollers fixture was aborted, but the Serowe side have not received any communication on the issue.
“We do not even know what is going on. It has been four weeks and we are yet to know whether we will be charged or if the game will be re-scheduled. Up to now we have not received anything from the BPL regarding that matter,” club spokesperson, Edwin Ntau said yesterday.
He said the matter compromises their preparations for the remainder of the season, as they do not know whether they will forfeit points or they still have a game to play against Rollers.
“It is difficult to plan for the rest of the season. It would have been easier for us if we knew where we are regarding that game,” he said.
“You can imagine if a decision regarding that encounter is made towards the end of the campaign. It would appear like some people were waiting to see how it goes in the league before the matter is finally put to bed.”
Ntshinogang said the reason for the delay was as a result of the BPL prosecutor being overwhelmed at his work. As it stands, Miscellaneous sit at position 10 with 32 points and five games remaining.
Rollers on the other hand, are at position two with 55 points, one behind new leaders, Jwaneng Galaxy as they wait to see whether they will play Miscellaneous or gain three soft points.
