The Botswana Football Association (BFA) is looking for a new coach, after parting ways with David Bright in February.

Mogomotsi ‘Teenage’ Mpote was installed on a caretaker basis, and will sit on the bench when the Zebras play Seychelles in an Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifier tomorrow.

BFA marketing and public relations officer, Tumo Mpatane said applications were still being received from different corners of the world.

“We have received several applications. The closing date is 30 April, so we will continue to receive them until then. The next process will be shortlisting,” Mpatane said.

“We have received applications from everywhere, which is good when the national team gets inquiries from all over the world.”

Amongst some of the notable names linked with the job are former coaches, Peter Butler, Jelusic Veselin and recently, Jwaneng Galaxy’s Miguel da Costa.

Mpote has previously said his curriculum vitae was already with the BFA, and if offered the job, he was ready.

He lost his first game against Angola last month, but will be keen to enhance his reputation with a win over Seychelles tomorrow at the Lobatse Sports Complex.
