The two sides will play their quarterfinal match at the Francistown Sports Complex. Chuma has said his side will not be ‘easy pickings’. The Division One side, are the least ranked team left in the competition. Rollers will be, by far, their biggest test in the competition. Kazungula brewed an upset last Saturday when they eliminated First Division North league leaders, TAFIC to advance to the quarterfinals.

Reacting to the quarterfinal draw, Chuma warned Popa not to underestimate them. “Township Rollers should not underestimate us. We are a well organised youthful team. My players have shown character through out the competition and I have no doubt that they will display their best against Rollers. We will not be easy pickings. “We have started intensively preparing for the match. We will give our all in this match,” added an optimistic Chuma.

Kazungula who are on a rebuilding process after they were relegated from the First Division two seasons ago, are in position six in the Chobe Division One league.  Chuma said his team was not short of motivation. “Playing against a successful, highly ranked and resourced side such as Township Rollers is a motivating factor on its own. My players will be eager to showcase their talent against Rollers,” he said.

The oldest player in the youthful Kazungula side is 25years.  Chuma attributed the team’s success to a very strong technical team. He said they have roped in Bakanuki Maseko as their technical director.  Maseko has been very instrumental in planning for the FA cup matches.  He is widely known for leading Black Forest to the Premier League. He also had successful stints at sides like TAFIC and FC Satmos.

Chuma added that moving the game to Francistown would, to some extent, disadvantage his side. “Playing in front of the home crowd would have served as a morale booster for the players. My players are also used to playing on a hard surface.

They might struggle to adjust to playing in a stadium because most of them use trainers,” he added.   The match was moved to the Francistown Sports Complex owing to lack of a suitable ground in Kazungula. Fighters’ home ground can only handle 1,500 spectators. Should they bow out of the competition Kazungula are guaranteed P60,000.
