It will be his second performance in Botswana after performing for the first time earlier this year at the Roll Up Party at Dros. Besides Emtee, Major Lit Sessions will assemble Ambitiouz Entertainment record label artists like Fifi Cooper, Saudi, Sjava, A-Reece, Miss Pru, Dj Citi Lyts and B3nchmarq.

Briefing the media on Friday, the four times Metro FM music award winner said it was an honour to finally come back and make his performance more special. “I am more excited for this upcoming festival because it promotes Ambitiouz Entertainment,” he said. The rapper, who will be performing alongside record label mates like Fifi Cooper, said they would have a good show.

The Roll-Up singer, who was nominated for the Prestigious Viewers’ Choice at the 2016 BET awards said it would be the second time the Ambitiouz Entertainment artists perform in one stage in the same night. He said it has only happened once in South Africa therefore Botswana would be the first country besides SA to see the whole group in action at the same time.  “I always give it my best when I perform outside because I promote SA hip-hop and raise our flag high,” he noted. Emtee added that his set is going to be unique and he would conduct rehearsals with the Ambitiouz Entertainment cru before the big festival.

Locally, the lineup of Major Lit Sessions include Scar, DJ Izzy, NT Base, BK Proctor, Darkboy, Cyrus Da Virus, Nippy, Rome Stunner, Tyler Blaid, Strickly House Bound, Stunna, Real Tonez, Randy Slic, Sean Ramzy, Staxxx and DJ Lunchbar. The MCs on the day would be Somizi from SA and T.H.A.B.O.

During the media briefing, the director of Uvalelo Holdings, Bruce Nkgakile said the reason they have assembled a lot of upcoming acts is to give them a chance to share a stage with the best. “Most of these artists are dying to share the stage with established acts,” he said.

Nkgakile said the show will be the first of its kind and it will become annual. He said Major Lit Session is a hip- hop event only and they would add more artists before the festival.  “People want a premium event and with Major Lit Sessions, everyone will get their money’s worth,” he highlighted.
