BOSETU Partners With Old Mutual

Speaking during the official product signing between Old Mutual and BOSETU on Friday at Hilton Garden Inn, Old Mutual managing director, Kushatha Moswela, stated that the product is their flagship personal insurance solution. She further stated that their policy offers protection of houses in the events of fire, flooding and attempted theft.

“This is a flagship personal short term insurance solution for BOSETU members, it is a personal individual cover that is simple to understand and it is very much affordable,” she stated.

She outlined that Old Mutual also offers comprehensive motor insurance, which covers clients in the event that they are involved in motor accidents, when the vehicle is stolen or has cracked windscreens.

“Our motor policy comes with roadside assistance and a P10 000.00 bereavement payment,” explained Moswela.

“If it happens that one has a breakdown, we offer up to P500.00 for their overnight accommodation.”

She also stated that they also have the all-risk section of the policy that protects clients against loss or damage to items such as laptops, cell phones and jewellery.

BOFUS Insurance Brokers (BIB) chairperson, Motshegwa Motshegwa confirmed the partnership with Old Mutual. He stated that Old Mutual came through for BOSETU at the right time when they were looking for partners who can help them emancipate their members from the heart ills especially in the economic center.

He stated that BOSETU members fall in an economic bracket that is least favourable hence the need to have come up with social and economic benefits geared towards easing the lives of BOSETU members.

Narrating their journey towards their partnership with Old Mutual, Motshegwa stated that with Union being the mother union and BOSETU funeral scheme to formulate a company known as BIB to find products that will be beneficial in their social arena and they ultimately came to an agreement with Old Mutual that they give them insurance.

“Our members have been having uninsured houses, cars and gadgets. With the company that we have that will operate in that sphere, I think our members will be impressed and take it upon themselves to cover their homes, cars and valuables such as gadgets,” said Motshegwa.
