The South African born vibrant gospel musician’s work continues to spread hope and love amongst today’s generation.

A fair share of Batswana made their way to Limkokwing’s for an intimate night of worship. Tumi kept the God-driven audience on their toes throughout the show while enjoying and singing along to his hit songs such as You are Here, We Love You Lord, Praise, You Alone, just to name but a few.

At the core of the message, the songs were not only comforting but also encouraging.  Dr Tumi writes songs that are in sync with Lord’s movement of the season. Tumi is a rare combination of talents that attracts a broad base of listeners for his artistry.

However, the intimate night of worship almost came to a bitter end before it could even begin. The attendees were locked out of the hall for nearly three hours with no communication from the organisers to explain why there was a delay. Some even began to demand a refund.

Also, there were some hiccup while the show was on regarding the sound.

In the midst of the confusion, Botswana’s very own local artists such as  Shingi, The real Magosi, Boago who is an upcoming artist and Kabelo Eric,  also made the intimate night of worship worth the wait.

In an interview with ShowTime, Dr Tumi stated that he sang gospel because he was a born again Christian. To him it was all about ministering to people hence he believed singing was his calling.

“I get to share my testimony about Christ, so it is more of a calling,” he said. He also noted that he quit his job as a doctor three years ago because he was on the road most of the time.

It made it difficult for him to do both assignments. Dr Tumi further indicated that for the past three years he has been in the music industry and released for albums that hit platinum. He also said the reception has been receiving was good and that he was growing across the continent.
