BFA wrote to Gunners on Tuesday, advising them that Babitseng is suspended from football activities arising from the national team, Zebras, trip to Guinea Bissau in 2015.

Babitseng was relieved off his duties as BFA vice president after 'inconsistencies and irregularities' in the use of funds were discovered after the Zebras trip to West Africa. At the time, he was the head of delegation.

However, the club contends that Babitseng was not expelled from the BFA, but relieved off his duties, and therefore, BFA's interpretation is wrong.

'We are responding to let them know that their facts are wrong and they need to get their house in order,' Babitseng told Mmegi Sport today.

Still on the matter, Gunners has been summoned to appear before the BFA's Disciplinary Committee for failure to comply with the decision of the mother body.

According to BFA, Babitseng must not hold any leadership position, since he has been suspended from football activities.

Babitseng was recently embroiled in controversy with Gunners over an alleged misappropriation of P50,000 which was received as an advance from the Botswana Premier League. He was suspended, before the board rescinded the decision.
