At a recent brief, one of the organisers Setho Motsei Mongatane said the event was established by a need to celebrate women.
“We want to allow women a space to enjoy all the things that make them happy and relaxed,” noted Mongatane.
She further said that they want to assert women as entrepreneurs and business owners.
“Statistics show that women in Southern African Development Community (SADC) make 70% of informal traders,” she revealed.
Through the provision of exhibition space, Wine Women & Fashion wants to expose women in the SMME sector to an affording market with high standard to enable them not to only sell their product, but to get market feedback instantly.
“We are bringing in everything women, by engaging women in every way possible, women in the food and beverage sector will be offering a variety of meals best served with wines and everything wine. We’re bringing the finest wines from Italy,” Mongatane highlighted.
In terms of fashion, Wine Women & Fashion will call out different designers from across the SADC region.
Italian wine expert, Massimo stated that they would be bringing the best of Italy to Botswana, a Nation of Champagne.
“Baletalia, one of our best Champagne that was launched in Botswana in 2018 will be at the event, to give everyone a taste of the best,” Massimo disclosed.
Standard ticket goes for P250, while Opulent VIP goes for P1,250 and lastly P1,500 for a group of five people.
