Police arrest church thieves

 

According to a press release from the Botswana Police Service's (BPS) public relations officer Near Bagali, the breaking and theft suspects were found in possession of stolen goods taken from one of the local churches in Tlokweng last Wednesday. The property was valued at over P10,000 which included among others speakers, microphones and a generator.

“The suspects are in police custody while investigations continue,' Bagali stated.

Still from Tloweng police, a 48-year-old Motswana man was arrested for receiving stolen property. The suspect was arrested during a search at one of the roadblocks in Gaborone where he was found in possession of 14 tower batteries belonging to the Botswana Fibre Network (BOFINET).

Bagali said further investigations into the matter led to the arrest of a 41-year-old man and two Batswana women aged between 36 and 39, who are all employees of the same company.  The four suspects appeared before court today on charges of receiving stolen property and stealing by servant respectively.
