According to the draft fixtures released this past week, the league is scheduled to start on September 7 with Fighters hosting Chiefs at Fighters ground.

Magosi were relegated from the Premier League in the just ended season together with Black Forest and Sankoyo Bush Bucks.

They hope for a quick return but face tricky encounters in their first two weeks.

After Fighters, Magosi will host another side, Jwaneng Fighters who missed promotion by a whisker after being knocked out in the promotional playoff by Morupule Wanderers. Jwaneng Fighters at some point last season looked to be on their way to the Premier League.  But the team faded away towards the middle of the second round, losing their top spot to Gilport Lions.

With them, Chiefs, Mogoditshane Fighters, Uniao Flamengo Santos, Black Forest and Broadhurst United, the Debswana First Division South League looks set for a thriller.

Subsequently, Magosi will take on new First Division entrants, Holy Ghost in the next fixture before they face Broadhurst United. They will then take a long trip to lock horns with Ncojane Youngsters.

Yet another relegated team, Black Forest will start their campaign against Broadhurst United before they host Ncojane Youngsters.

Just like Chiefs, Forest were rocked by financial set backs and finally succumbed after surviving in the last two seasons.  After Ncojane, Forest will then take on Black Peril before they host Matebejane.
