Justice Rannowane, recently addressed Administration of Justice staff saying the judicial blueprint he envisions for his organisation was mainly based on service delivery and staff welfare.

“My blueprint for this organisation is anchored on service delivery and staff welfare, especially putting employees and their welfare at the centre stage realising that they are the oxygen of this organisation and without them it cannot exist let alone function,” he said.

He explained that the vision for the judiciary could only be realised by undertaking the journey as a unified team since it requires focus, resilience, commitment and probity.

Further the Chief Justice said since the country was part of the global village they should always be vigilant that they are not left behind noting that they should always be ready to embrace new and improved methodologies to enhance service delivery.

“We continue to strive to boost our regional and global presence and ranking by the achievement of a just, efficient and speedy dispensation of justice.  We have set ourselves performance targets that will make the country competitive in the world of international business,” he said.

Rannowane also pointed out that they have recognised that investors are often looking to invest in countries that have responsive, efficient and cost-effective systems, both political administrative and judicial.

He said to that effect they would continue with innovative and transformative programmes such as the introduction of court annexed mediation, real time court reporting and commercial courts complemented by training of both staff and support staff.

“We will ensure that they are fully capacitated to efficiently deal with the emerging global legal challenges such as money laundering, financing of international terrorism, human trafficking, corruption and many others,” Rannowane said.
