Botswana Police Service (BPS)’s director of crime intelligence, Nunu Lesetedi, said  the two, Bloodwell Mochabaiwa 40 years and his girlfriend Nomsa Mamboininga 44 years both Zimbabwean nationals were arrested with 50 sachets of dagga in their possession.

Lesetedi stated that Mamboininga, who is an illegal immigrant has been disguising as a street vendor at the bus rank whilst her major business was selling dagga.

“On top of her table she had bottles of sour milk filled with dagga. Passing by one would think she was sells madila whilst the bottles contained dagga. This is how easily she police could not notice her been.

We suspect the two have been running the ‘business’ for quite sometim. Investigations will establish the source of the ‘business’,” Lesetedi said.

Meanwhile, Mochabaiwa is said to be on bail for murder and robbery. The suspect was arrested and charged in connection with the murder of a Botswana Accountancy College male student.

The student was found dead opposite Molapo crossing along western by-pass on January 17 last year.
