Moswaane under police radar for murder video

In an interview with Mmegi, Moswaane explained that whilst at home he was approach by police officers and requested to follow them to the station. Subsequently, ploce questioned Moswaane about the recent video he shared on BDP Road Map WhatsApp group. 

The video captured the gruesome murder of a 21-year-old South African woman, Naledi Lethoba that recently trended on social media. 

“Yes I shared the video last Friday but even when sharing it I wrote a message explaining and calling for other Members of Parliament for support and stand up against crime and violence against women.

As a member Human Development and Social Security Committee I also shared the video on SADC parliamentary forum requesting their support to further investigate where the gruesome murder occurred,” Moswaane said. 

Moswaane expressed surprise for his arrested him claiming that he advocating against violence experienced b y women. In his view, he shared the video because another Monarch youth was also stabbed to death with a knife in the same week at Borolong village.

Police have since denied arresting Moswaane.
