Peter Butler’s charges can only finish on nine points, as they lie third behind Uganda and group leaders, Burkina Faso.

Competition is between the top two countries for a slot at next year’s AFCON tournament in Gabon.

Butler said Ngele was struggling with a groin injury and is unlikely to make the trip.

“Ngele has a groin injury and we doubt if he will make it,” Butler said. Ngele recently joined Wits from Mamelodi Sundowns and made his full debut when his new side beat Orlando Pirates 2-1 in an MTN Top 8 encounter on Saturday.

Kabelo Seakanyeng and Olekantse Mambo are also expected to miss the trip to Ouagadougou.

New AS Vita striker, Onkabetse Makgantai will join his Zebras teammates in Kenya.

The team will not play any friendly match and go straight into the meaningless encounter minus match practice.

Meanwhile, Butler might stay beyond his current contract as new Botswana Football Association (BFA) president, Maclean Letshwiti is keen on development.

Butler has been hailed for his outstanding work, particularly with young and upcoming players.

The Englishman’s contract expires next March and his future was left in doubt after the man who hired him, Tebogo Sebego was defeated in the BFA presidential elections.
