O Motho ka Batho appreciation party flops

The event attracted a large crowd, but unfortunately it turned out to be a big disappointment to the audience as almost all the DJs and musicians billed to perform at the occasion, were nowhere to be seen.

The event, which was scheduled to start at 3pm showed no signs of commencing by midnight. Night crawlers flocked the venue hoping that they would be treated to the rich lineup of local acts as the organisers had promised, but that was not to be.

Even though they knew that their event was a disaster, the organisers kept taking money from people who were eager to get some entertainment.

Those who wanted to buy the double ticket, priced at P150 for two, were told that the tickets were sold out and insisted that each person should pop out P100, knowing that most of the artists in their lineup did not turn up.

The angry crowd demanded their money back with no luck as they were promised that the artists were about to perform. The furious crowd started throwing bottles and pouring drinks on the stage demanding to be entertained or be given their money back.

However, Amanandos came to the rescue at 1:05am as they calmed down the situation with their performance.  After a while it was back to chaos as there were no other performers, except a DJ.

Some of the revellers who were clearly heartbroken decided to go home, and swore that they will never attend the event again.

The artists who were expected to grace the event were Team Distant, Guyvos, Chef Gustos, DJ N T Base, DJ Phouboi, Dramaboi, Amanandos, Raptured Roots and DJ Roots Cartel. Some of Bakwena artists who were also lined up to perform include PLK, Ntsimbi, Hoodstars, DJ Casa and Mouza Deep.

The event organisers were not taking calls when Showbiz contacted them for comment.
