Sengwaketse told Arts & Culture that he hit a cow on his way from Nata where he performed at a wedding.

He said he met his ordeal at Mathangwane, 20 kilometres from Francistown.

“There were four of us in the car. No one was hurt. However, my car is badly damaged, but I thank God for saving our lives. I am frustrated that I have to go through this ordeal when my music career was just reaching greater heights,” he said.

Cuttieworld Company currently manages Sengwaketse who started his music career under Steven Leboro’s Rhuu’s Entertainment.

“We want to be one of the best gospel artists Botswana has ever produced. We have learnt a lot from my previous album and the company that I was under. I have learnt that as an artist, if you sit down and expect more from management you will end up failing because music needs more effort and hard work,” he said.

He said as Cuttieworld, they have already recorded a song that features the award-winning gospel sensation called Lady Dyna. He said the local gospel legend Matthews Matsetse wrote the song.

It was captured by BK Proctor collections and arranged by Solani Glo and Lady Dyna. It will be released soon as a single.

However, Sengwaketse has sold a lot of copies and still sells copies from his Ho Tseba Modimo album. The album continues to do well and it is also on iTunes. He added that he would soon release a new album under his new management.

The young artist is currently nominated in six categories for upcoming Botswana Gospel Music Awards (BOGMA).

He has recently won himself first prize at the President’s Day regional awards in Lobatse.
